The Downtown County Band

The DCB play music from the turn of the 20th century, as well as some contemporary original songs. The band celebrates the old Jug Band music born out of the Ohio and Mississippi River ways of life, and the old blues from the Mississippi Delta as well as the Piedmont area of North Carolina. The County Band is neither a stranger to Appalachian Gospel, Mountain, or Old Timey Music. Part of their selections will also include music with an island or reggae feel. An eccletic blend of folk roots music traditions, with a contemporary feel that's difficult to describe.
