Amazing Art Inspired By Nature

Inspired by Nature Art Show I went to see the "Inspired By Nature" art show on opening night and I found myself saying "Wow" over and over... I am no expert or art critic, but then art is intended for everyone to enjoy. So I thought I would share with you my individual impression of the show.

It is true that every piece was inspired by nature. And come to think of it, what is more beautiful than nature? We have so much natural beauty around us on a daily basis here in Rabbit Hash, but these artists exceeded at least my expectations. They could make nature even more beautiful.

I was, in essence, AMAZED. I tried to capture some of this on film and have provided those photos below, but you really need to see the show to get the full impact.

The show runs through the 17th of June and you can get a private showing as well. To make an appointment contact Jane Burch Cochran 859-586-9169. If you'd like to view information about the participating artists, go to: Inspired By Nature Art Show Opens June 7th in Rabbit Hash

Photography as an art
Photography is an art because of the artist's viewpoint shown in what he shoots... In other words, the artist sees something spectacular that another may not notice. He/she brings this out and COMMUNICATES it to others. That is all that art actually is. A communication that others can contribute to. Contribution can be in the form of applause, a tapping foot to music, a great feeling looking at something, etc.

You may be thinking of photography as solely illustration. Yes, you're right in that sense. It is not art. But taking a photo of something and creating a communication with it -- that's art. Or in the case of these artists -- they took natural beauty and created unique communications with that beauty.
