Friends, Music, and Sundays - Amen! |

Recently, The Kenton County Regulators played and it was jam-packed. I have heard more than one local commenting on not being able to park, people walking miles uphill in the freezing cold just to listen to the band. Mike Fletcher made a wonderful celebratory speech to Richard Young's healing journey. Well, it started off like that and then ended up with this tale about making his "chicken etouffee" (cajun stew). Seems he had run into this woman one day who asked him how he prepared his chickens... and Mike said, "I just tell 'em they're gonna die!" The crowd roared! Mike and Teri Heist brought a celebratory cake and Andy King made another speech that went something like this, "Here's to Richard kicking cancers butt!"
Amen.

Hi Kinsee!
I am the one who took photographs of your band at the rest stop. I left my card with one of the mothers. Her daughter is the one who plays the fiddle. I asked her to email me the story about your program and I would run it past the site owner for publishing. Your photos turned out great by the way. Send me your email address so I can email them to you. You can contact me via the contact form on this website. Go to "Give us a holler" in the menu on the left. Click on the link that says "Jeanne Sheridan" and fill out the form. Your message will come straight to me. ?
Is there going to be anything about the bluegrass band Colonal Strings on here? I am in the band and a lady that worked on here was taking pics and invited us there. She said she was going to put us on this website.
Interested in Playing Some Sunday
I wanted to check on how you schedule groups to play on Sundays. My band Woodnote would be a nice fit with a Folk-Americana combination of acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, slide guitar, percussion and sweet harmonies. We look forward to making you smile!
