Review: April Birthday Barn Dance with Lagnaippe Print Email

april barn dance with lagniappeThe local cajun band from Cincinnati, Lagnaippe, warmed up Rabbit Hash last Friday night at the barn dance. To put it mildly, they were absolutely wonderful! Lots of folks came out despite the unseasonable chilly temperatures. But all that dancing kept the barn nice and toasty warm! We even had a bonfire going outside... Something rather rare this time of year.

There were plenty of kids enjoying the dance and we enjoyed them too! It was an all around good time for the whole family, dogs included.

As planned, we celebrated all the April birthdays. Lagnaippe did a beautiful cajun rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Bob Feldhaus and Doug Mullins who were present at the dance. It was also local expert historian, Don Clare's birthday that night and we missed seeing him at the barn dance. Happy Birthday Don!

Kerri Frakes took some great pictures of the event and is sharing them with us on the website. Thanks Kerri!

Junior
Twain had it right...the more I know about dogs the less I like people. I have a photo kissing Junior during a fund raising weekend..I swear that dog knew he was raising money.
