Review: Boogie Woogie Sound Fills the General Store Print Email

ricky nye
Cincinnati musicians, Ricky Nye and Chris Werner played Sunday at the General Store. Ricky played the house piano which Marion Spellman of the Rosemary Clooney Show owned and played years ago. Probably not the boogie woogie blues sound that Ricky pumped out...

Chris Werner from the Cincinnati band, Jake Speed and the Freddies played upright bass. They had folks dancing around the stove. The porch was full of people enjoying the music as well. Come down this Sunday...it is the last one of the season. Otis Gibbs from Wannamaker, Indiana will be there doing an acoustic set.

Twain had it right...the more I know about dogs the less I like people. I have a photo kissing Junior during a fund raising weekend..I swear that dog knew he was raising money.
