Review: Huge Turnout for Last Sundays by the Stove Print Email

otis gibbs
Otis was a hit!

It would be an understatement to say that we were busy last Sunday! There were motorcyclists galore, movie crews, musicians, tourists and locals everywhere in Rabbit Hash that afternoon. The warm and sunny weather brought everybody out. Unfortunately, our little town has difficulty handling so many people at one time. We ended up running out of cold drinks, the garbage cans were overflowing and parking was a nightmare. Whew... What a day!!!

The out of town musician, Otis Gibbs, played at the General Store. There was so much going on in and around the store it was hard to hear... But what I did hear sounded great! I can't wait to have him back next fall. This show concluded our Sundays by the Stove series for the season.

The Boone County Sheriffs department actually came down to direct traffic. Unfortunately they had to cite some people for parking in the street.

Remember, please be considerate while you're visiting Rabbit Hash. For tips on how you can make your visit to the store more enjoyable for everyone involved (i.e. neighbors, other patrons, etc.) please read Message to all Rabbit Hash Hawgs .

Even if you're not coming down on a motorcycle we'd like you to help us by reading that article and spreading the word to other Rabbit Hash visitors. All vehicles and their owners driving down to visit our store or attend an event need to work together to help avoid blocking the narrow roads here.

Our store truly appreciates your business and thanks you for your continued patronage.

The canine mayor is a great idea!! We are a small rural community 5 miles from Loch Ness in Scotland and our famous monster would make a great Provest (Scottish name for Mayor)!! Glad a sense of humor and good community...

This is the most welcoming store I've ever seen. The people & The Store are so inviting. I especially enjoyed seeing the cats, makes it seem even more like a "home". Congratulations on capturing the true feeling of Rabbit...
