 To say that the second Friday in July "rocked the barn" would be the understatement of the year. Rabbit Hash rockabilly favorites, the StarDevils, began the evening with great weather and a moderate crowd, but by 9 p.m. it would have been difficult to wedge a single additional human into the barn. The floor and walls were literally shaking from all the dancing! And
attendees on the outskirts of the crowd were kept busy keeping
memorabilia from dropping off the shelves and falling off of nails.
In spite of all the merriment, singer Lance Kaufman's vocals soared,
rhythm section Greg Schramm and Frank Turner kept feet a stompin' and
guitarist/steel player David Rhodes Brown never missed a beat.
A special thanks to all the hardworking volunteers who kept the cold
libations stocked, and to the crowd in general for maintaining the
integrity of the town. Also to the StarDevils. Can't wait to see ya on
Old Timer's Day!
