Come join us "around the stove" at the Rabbit Hash General Store to celebrate the new CD Release for Gunpowder Creek! On Sunday, January 20th, 2008 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, you'll enjoy Bluegrass music at its very best and a great party with Ben Pedigo and Forrest Utley.
Bluegrass enthusiasts will remember Ben Pedigo as a performer on the Julia Belle Swain excursion boat. Ben has performed and recorded with Norman Blake and toured with Bill Monroe. Ben's mandolin playing and singing are a great compliment to Forrest's vocals and guitar work. Ben also picks a mean five string banjo.
Visitors to Main Strauss in Covington will remember Forrest Utley singing and performing at the Strauss House. Forrest plays guitar, harmonica and has a soulful voice reminiscent of Carter Stanley.Forrest has an original style of playing that is enjoyable and engaging for listeners. His harmony singing brings out the old time flavor of a song and also adds a unique quality to the music.
After being brothers-in-law for over 15 years, they discovered they could make great music together! Both have played music for years and have worked with many well known musicians.
Ben and Forrest regularly perform at festivals, fairs and state parks throughout Kentucky and Ohio.
