Rabbit Hash Hosts Political Rally

Print Email

The town of Rabbit Hash, KY has been gearing up for its next Mayoral Election, which will be decided on November 4, 2008. In honor of the election and to introduce all the candidates, Rabbit Hash will be hosting the first ever All-Candidate Mayoral Political Rally on Saturday, October 4th.

The event will run from 2 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. and includes live music, food and drinks. Candidates will be on hand to make speeches, bribe you and kiss your babies. Attendees can bring signs and political propaganda for their favorite candidate.

Scheduled acts include Earl's Gone Wild, Raif & Sadie Faircloth, The Sundresses, 500 Miles to Memphis and Duppy a` Jamba.

Admittance is free, but it costs at least $1.00 to vote for a candidate. Anyone can vote. Since the candidate with the most money wins the election, Rabbit Hash strongly encourages stuffing the ballot boxes! All proceeds will benefit the Rabbit Hash Historical Society for repairs and maintenance of the 177 year old historic town.

Official candidates include:

  • Travis (a cool Cat for a change!)
  • Lucy Lou (a Border Collie)
  • Higgins (a Donkey)
  • Pike (a Chihuahua mix)
  • Izzy (a Bulldog/Retriever mix)
  • Cletus (a Bull Mastif)
  • Macy (an Ibizan Hound)
  • Manson Mayer (a Border Collie mix)
  • Molly C. Urso (a Boxer)
  • Noggin (a Clumber Spaniel)
  • Rembrandt (a St. Bernard mix)
  • Toby (a Springer Spaniel)

The winner of the election will succeed Junior, a black lab who served for 4 years and died in May.

Put an end to the "Dog Days" !!

By: Randy Lohre on 10-04-2008 13:19

Vote for Travis if you want a Mayor who will not be swayed by "treats" and "belly rubbs".

Travis will do whatever he wants to no matter what you want or need. (Just like the folks in Washington). Hey brother.."Can you spare 700 billion ?"

Meeeooow and Thanks for Your Vote
Dirty Politics
I too am saddened but Travis' defeat :cry It's too bad that the "Big Dogs" can hold sway even in tiny Rabbit Hash. Maybe we need to get back to our roots and run a Rabbit for Mayor next time there is an opening. Lucy Lou...
