 Join the cities and communities of Boone County on Saturday, APRIL 26, 2008 from 8:30 am to noon in celebrating the Great American Cleanup! The Great American Cleanup is nationally coordinated by Keep America Beautiful and is centered on cleaning, beautifying and improving communities. This year is expected to involve close to an estimated 3 million people across that country. The cities, businesses and communities of Boone County have come together to celebrate this event and encourage community pride everyday of the year. Volunteers will clean riverbanks and other areas in Boone County. Location of events:

A lunch celebration will be held immediately following these events.
Litterbags, bumper stickers and other goodies will be distributed at
all the events. T-shirts will be provided to cleanup volunteers as well
as gloves and trash bags for the cleanup.
