Show Your Greatness at the Great American Cleanup!

GACFlyer2008.jpgJoin the cities and communities of Boone County on Saturday, APRIL 26, 2008 from 8:30 am to noon in celebrating the Great American Cleanup! The Great American Cleanup is nationally coordinated by Keep America Beautiful and is centered on cleaning, beautifying and improving communities. This year is expected to involve close to an estimated 3 million people across that country. The cities, businesses and communities of Boone County have come together to celebrate this event and encourage community pride everyday of the year. Volunteers will clean riverbanks and other areas in Boone County. Location of events:

Rabbit Hash General Store
10021 Lower River Road, Burlington

The City of Florence Florence Public Services
7850 Tanners Lane

City of Walton City Hall
Main & Church Streets
Please call in Connie Goins at 859-485-4383 in advance to notify the site coordinator if you plan to attend.

A lunch celebration will be held immediately following these events. Litterbags, bumper stickers and other goodies will be distributed at all the events. T-shirts will be provided to cleanup volunteers as well as gloves and trash bags for the cleanup.
