After the heat of this past weekend I think we can say summer has arrived. Summer brings lots of life, love and events to Rabbit Hash so I want to keep you updated.
This coming weekend is the Ohio River Sweep on Saturday, June 18th. Boone County does a terrific job organizing the event and treats their volunteers with donuts for breakfast, a t-shirt for their hard work and a chicken dinner for lunch. Come out and help them keep our river banks safe and clean. More info
On Friday, June 24th, Johnny Berry and the Outliers from Louisville will be laying down some very dance-able tracks in the barn for our monthly fix of live music in Rabbit Hash. The dance starts at 8:00 PM, everyone is welcome, and no alcohol please.
Saturday, July 16th - A few weeks after the barn dance there is going to be a special event in Rabbit Hash. It is the brain child of the Indiana Muddy Portage. They are a group of guys that have been canoeing and kayaking to Rabbit Hash from Indiana to show their support for more than a decade. Their love is abundant and efforts endless and now they have organized the Rabbit Hash River Run. The River Run starts in Aurora, Indiana and Petersburg, Kentucky where we will put in our boats then paddle down river to end up in Rabbit Hash for food, music and general merrymaking. The Star Devils and G Miles and the Hitmen, will be coming out to entertain us. Please come join in this event. The run starts at 9:00am and music in Rabbit Hash begins at 2:00-4:00 with G Miles and 5:00-7:00 with the Star Devils.
More events to come as the days roll by. Thank you all for your continued support during this season of pain and confusion. The progress on the store is slow but there are a dedicated few demolishing the old houses that have been donated for the material we need to build with. We are looking for serious and able volunteers to help with this endeavor. Please contact Terrie in the barn for more information. 859-586-7744. Summer is upon us and the long hot days are bringing newness and rebirth every step of the way. Hoping to see all of you soon!
